Police are at the scene of a serious collision in Ringwood which has left a girl fighting for life, Victoria Police say.
Investigators have been told the female was walking south across Whitehorse Road just after 7am.
It’s believed a truck travelling south on Dampier Grove and turning left onto Maroondah highway struck the girl.
The truck did not stop after the incident and police are appealing for the driver to come forward.
Nunawading Highway Patrol officers are searching for a brown Light truck which was last seen heading east on the Maroondah Highway.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are en route to the scene.
