A pedestrian has died after man was struck by a bus in Ferntree Gully tonight, Victoria Police say.
It is believed the pedestrian was struck by the bus on Burwood Highway just after 7.30pm.
The yet to be identified man died at the scene.
The bus driver is assisting police with their enquiries.
The exact cause of the incident is yet to be determined at this stage and will be investigated by Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
