Permit/Plug/Play Pilot Program: Bayside

Bayside Council has updated the process of how to plan events in Bayside. This reform is supported by the Permit/Plug/Play Pilot Program - an initiative proudly funded by the NSW Government to help councils create event-ready streets by streamlining approval processes and investing in enabling place infrastructure.

The council website will now feature a series of new pages with information on planning and hosting events, including step-by-step instructions.

There will be information on when council approval is needed for an event.

To those interested in holding their own event, an Event Concierge Service will assist with all enquiries, as well as providing venue information, clarifying regulatory and compliance requirements.

Additionally, a detailed Event Guide will be provided as a general guide for planning events with valuable insights and practical advice.

Mayor Edward McDougall said:

"These community events are such an important part of what makes living and working in Bayside so special."
