The end of the Fire Danger Period on Monday this week means Local Law Permits to Burn are once again available from Mildura Rural City Council.
Permits are only available for eligible land owners in the irrigated areas of the municipality and can be obtained by contacting Council's Customer Service Team on 5018 8100. Permits are $42 each.
Burning off is not permitted on residential or commercial properties.
Dryland farming property owners are able to burn-off outside the Fire Danger Period and do not need fire permits.
Eligible property owners are reminded to adhere to the conditions on their Local Law Permits to Burn, and contact VICFIRE on 1800 668 511 before starting to burn-off.
