November 7, 2018 Charlottetown, PE Parks Canada Agency

The Parks Canada Sustainable Tourism Award was presented to Perry Gotell at the 2018 Tourism Industry Association of Prince Edward Island Annual Awards Gala on Wednesday, October 24th.

Ten years ago, Perry Gotell became a pioneer in the field of experiential tourism when he developed the "Clamming and Beach Cook-out", a unique Island adventure for visitors. Still one of the Island's premiere experiential tourism providers, Tranquility Cove Adventures offers a number of different options for adventurists including the kid-friendly "Starfish and Pearl-Hunting" tour as well as unique wedding ceremonies.

A huge supporter of his hometown, Perry's packages highlight all that beautiful Georgetown has to offer, encouraging visitors to stay longer and explore further during their vacations. He is recognized in the industry for being a pioneer, a mentor to others, and for his willingness to do his part to further develop tourism on PEI.

Created in 2006, the Parks Canada Sustainable Tourism Award recognizes a demonstrated commitment to excellence, encourages appreciation, and respect for our natural, cultural and aesthetic heritage, promotes sustainable development, and fosters a greater public awareness of the economic, social, cultural, and environmental significance of tourism.
