Persistent thief in Cranbourne

Cranbourne police are hoping to identify a man following a theft and an attempted theft in Cranbourne in May.

Investigators have been told a man entered an electronics store at a High Street shopping complex about 3.50pm on 29 May.

The man attempted to steal a pair of Bose headphones and was confronted by a staff member.

He threatened the staff member, claiming he had a knife, before leaving the store empty handed.

Shortly afterwards the man entered a bottle shop at the complex and stole an amount of liquor.

Police have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
