A woman has been arrested after a petrol drive off at Fulham overnight, according to SA Police.

Police received a call from a Henley Beach Road service station about 1.45am on Monday 26 June reporting that a woman driving a green sedan had driven off without paying for fuel.

Police spotted a similar car shortly after stopping it at Sherriff Street at Underdale. As police were speaking to the woman driving, she ran off, jumping fences of nearby homes. The woman was arrested by patrols in the driveway of a house nearby.

Police searched the woman’s car and located four sets of various number plates. They also discovered that the number plates on the woman’s own car had been altered.

An 18-year-old woman from Birkenhead was charged with theft of fuel, driving disqualified, unlawfully on premises, providing false details and driving with unassigned plates.
