Pink Buns on Pink Lady flight raises breast cancer awareness

This morning passengers on an Alliance Airlines flight from Brisbane to Weipa received complimentary pink buns in support of Breast Cancer Network (BCNA).

Bakers Delight bakers handed out hundreds of individual pink buns for passengers to enjoy on their flight as flight attendants wore Pink Masks on Pink Lady - an Alliance Airline  Fokker 70 airplane dressed up in pink livery to raise awareness of breast cancer and the support services that BCNA delivers.

Funds raised throughout the Pink Bun campaign enable BCNA’s talented team to continue providing valuable information and assistance free of charge to Australians who have been affected by breast cancer.

QLD Attorney General and Minister for Women, Shannon Fentiman also joined breast cancer survivors, and Alliance staff and crew for a Pink Party at Brisbane Airport.

100% of Pink Bun sales until May 26th will be donated to Breast Cancer Network Australia – this year’s theme is “Little things make a big difference”.

In 2019, Alliance officially launched Pink Lady to its fleet of aircraft in support of Australians affected by breast cancer.

Pink Lady has since redefined ‘pretty in pink’ as she flies in her BCNA livery throughout Australia.
