Pizza delivery driver carjacked in Blacktown

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a carjacking in Blacktown overnight, NSW Police say.

About 11.15pm today a 22-year-old man was delivering a pizza to an address in Fourth Avenue.

He parked his Mazda MX5 outside a multi-story unit block and as he got out of the car he was approached by two men who threatened him and demanded his keys.

The young man handed the pair his keys and they got into the MX5 and drove away.

The matter was reported to Blacktown Police and an investigation was commenced.

About 12.15am tomorrow the Mazda was involved in a single-vehicle collision with a road barrier on Old Windsor Road, Toongabbie.

The vehicle was located at the crash site on its roof, but the two men managed to run from the scene.

Investigations continue and anyone who may have information that could assist in urged to contact Blacktown Police, or Crime Stopers.
