Pizza delivery driver threatened in Nowra

Police are investigating after a pizza delivery driver was threatened with an axe in Nowra last night, NSW Police say.

About 8.30pm today a 22-year-old man parked his car in a driveway of a home in Kameruka Street where he was attempting to deliver a pizza.

While attempting to contact the occupants of the home by phone he was approached by two men.

He wound the driver’s side window down and one of the males walked towards the window carrying an axe while demanding money.

The driver immediately drove away from the area and reported the matter to police.

The two men have only been described as being aged between 15-19, and at the time of the incident one was wearing a dark baseball hat with a red and white bandanna covering his face.

Fortunately the 22-year-old man was not hurt and no property was stolen.

Police from Shoalhaven Local Area Command are conducting further inquiries and would like to speak with anyone who may have information that could assist.

Police are urging anyone with information on the incident to call Crime Stoppers.
