From: The National Battlefields Commission

March 21, 2019 – Québec –The National Battlefields Commission

The National Battlefields Commission is honoured that the Plains of Abraham have been selected for a second edition of the FIS Cross-Country World Cup Finals – a sign that competition organizers and the world's top cross-country skiers appreciated their experience during the FIS Cross-Country World Cup Finals (2017), Ski Tour Canada (2016) and Sprint Québec (2012).

"The Plains of Abraham, acknowledged as a unique rallying point in the city of Québec, is an exceptional venue to welcome an international event of this importance. It was natural for us to reiterate our cooperation with the event organisers. Staff members and I at the Commission wish the very best of luck to all the cross-country skiers who will be skiing on the Plains of Abraham as of tomorrow."

– Jean Robert, Chair of the National Battlefields Commission
