The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a light plane crashed into a field in Palgrave near Warwick.
Initial investigations indicate the pilot of the plane did not survive the crash and it is believed no one else was on board at the time.
Investigators will work with officials from Recreational Aviation Australia (RAAUS) to determine the cause of the crash.
No further information is available at this time.
