Planning Underway For Glow2680 Christmas Celebrations

Griffith is set to shine brighter than ever this Christmas, with plans for the 2025 Glow2680 program already lighting up the calendar.

Residents can expect dazzling new light installations, vibrant street banners and a packed schedule of events guaranteed to spread festive cheer.

The program will feature favourites such as the Rotary Christmas Carnival and Glow2680 Lights Launch, Carols by Candlelight, the Star Shopper Campaign and the Christmas Lights Competition.

Rotary Club of Griffith representatives have confirmed their support for kicking off the season at Memorial Park on Friday 5 December 2025. The family-friendly event will include the chance to win hams and chickens, face painting, a jumping castle, arts and crafts, festive entertainment and a grand entrance by Santa. The Lorraine Sutton Singers will perform live, adding to the Christmas cheer.

Griffith Mayor, Councillor Doug Curran said he is looking forward to another big festive season.

"I invite everyone to think about marking some of these dates on their calendars so they don't miss anything," Mayor Curran said.

"I don't want to give too much away, but we have made a few changes in terms of decorations that we hope the community will enjoy."

Returning favourites such as the community Christmas tree, walk-through bauble and twinkling archway will once again light up Memorial Park, alongside new displays in the CBD designed to offer additional photo worthy opportunities.

Other festive highlights include Carols by Candlelight at the Griffith Community Stage, Community Gardens, on Sunday 14 December 2025.

Shoppers can also enjoy the annual Christmas Sidewalk Sale on Saturday 6 December 2025.
