Playgrounds open again in Second Step

For those of us living in regional Victoria, 11.59pm on 13 September signals a slight change to COVID-19 restrictions, with the start of the second step in Victoria's roadmap to reopening.

For residents the second step will see the reopening of public playgrounds.

For many, this is a welcome measure and will see families have more options when exercising outdoors.

At the start of the second step, another change will be welcomed by residents of the municipality, with up to five people from two households able to meet outdoors for social interaction.

People living alone or single parents can nominate one person with whom they can form a 'single social bubble'. This bubble will allow these people to visit each other for social interaction.

As for Council, facilities that have been impacted by COVID will stay the same as they were prior to the second step starting.

Families using the playgrounds are advised to maintain social distancing, and take other precautions as advised by the DHHS.
