Police 4WD destroyed by fire - Central West

Investigations are underway into a fire which destroyed a NSW Police vehicle in the Central West overnight.

Emergency services were called to the Hill End Police Station about 1.30am (Friday 9 October 2020), after neighbours reported the fully-marked NSWPF Toyota Land Cruiser was on fire.

The NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) attended and extinguished the blaze but the vehicle was destroyed.

Inquiries are now underway into the cause of the fire. There was no one at the station at the time.

Investigators from Chifley Police District have initiated inquiries into the incident and are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to contact Bathurst Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
