Police appeal after affray in Sydney

Police have released CCTV images of a man and are appealing for public assistance following an affray in Sydney CBD last year, NSW Police say.

About 12.30am on Sunday 23 October 2016, a group of four people – two women and two men – were outside a licensed premise on Elizabeth Street.

It’s alleged two men approached them and a fight ensued between the groups.

The two women and two men were all treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to St Vincent’s Hospital with various injuries including facial lacerations, swelling and bruising.

Officers from Sydney City Local Area Command attended and arrested a 27-year-old man at the scene.

He was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and common assault and is next due to appear at the Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 22 February 2017.

Following inquiries, detectives have released CCTV images of a man they believe may be able to assist them.

The man depicted is described as being of Asian appearance with short dark hair. He is shown wearing jeans and a long sleeved black top.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
