Police appeal after armed robbery at Griffith

Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery in the state's south west.

About 8.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 6 November 2019) an unknown man attended a service station on Hanwood Road near Griffith.

The man, allegedly armed with a knife, demanded cash and cigarettes from the service station attendant.

The attendant complied, and the man fled on foot in a northerly direction.

No injuries were sustained as a result of the incident.

Officers from Murrumbidgee Police District attended and established a crime scene.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed a man approximately 175cm tall, with a dark complexion, wearing dark clothing and a hooded jumper around the time of the incident.

As investigations into the robbery continue, police are urging anyone who may have information or dashcam/CCTV to contact Murrumbidgee Police District on (02) 69694299 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
