Police appeal after attempted trespassing at military facility - Salt Ash

Police are appealing for public assistance after an attempted trespassing at a military facility on the state's mid north coast this morning.

Officers attached to Port Stephens-Hunter Police District attended the facility at Salt Ash about 3.20am (Saturday 14 September 2019), after an alarm was activated.

Upon arriving, officers located gates with significant damage suspected to have been sustained from a vehicle, however it is not believed the vehicle was able to enter.

Investigators are now appealing for anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers, in particular anyone who saw a vehicle believed to be a red Nissan Patrol around Salt Ash or surrounding suburbs this morning.
