Police appeal after fail to stop crash in Lidcombe

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fail to stop crash at Lidcombe this week, NSW Police say.

About 8.25am (17 October 2017), the rider of a Harley Davidson motorcycle was travelling north along Joseph Street.

Police were told the driver of a car changed lanes in front of the rider, causing him to take evasive action.

The rider fell to the ground causing serious injuries to his left wrist and hand and was later taken to Westmead Hospital for surgery.

The driver of the car, only described as being an older model white Ford or Holden sedan or station wagon, left the scene without stopping.

Investigators from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit are appealing for any witnesses to the crash to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
