Police appeal after fatal hit-and-run in Guildford

Police are appealing for information following a fatal hit-and-run crash at Guildford yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 9.15pm today, emergency services were called to the intersection of Rawson Road and Campbell Hill Road, following reports a woman had been hit by a vehicle.

Initial investigations suggest the 39-year-old woman was attempting cross Rawson Road, when she was struck.

Responding police performed CPR on the woman; which was later continued by NSW Ambulance Paramedics.

The woman was taken to Westmead Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The driver of the vehicle allegedly involved failed to stop following the crash.

A crime scene was established with specialist investigators from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit in attendance.

Police are urging any witnesses or anyone with information about this incident to come forward.
