Police appeal after man found in Fairfield

Police are appealing for public assistance to identify a man found at Fairfield last night, NSW Police say.

About 7pm (Monday 22 October 2018), a man, believed to be aged in his 70s, was found wandering around Fairfield CBD.

Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command attended and the man was taken to hospital for a precautionary assessment.

The man is believed to have dementia and has not been able to identify himself to officers or provide any clues about his identity or home address.

He is described as being of Asian appearance, about 180cm tall, with grey hair and a moustache.

He was found wearing a grey jumper, dark grey tracksuit pants, and grey New Balance running shoes.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
