Police appeal after vehicle stolen in Bondi

Police are appealing for information after a vehicle was stolen, and later found abandoned, in Sydney’s east yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 4.20pm (Monday 5 March 2018), a 47-year-old man attended a car wash on Curlewis Street, Bondi.

A man was observed to enter the dark grey Audi while it was unattended, before driving away.

Two dogs and personal items were in the vehicle at the time.

The vehicle was located abandoned a short distance away on Patterson Street, North Bondi.

The two dogs were missing from the vehicle but were recovered nearby and returned by two young children.

Police, with assistance from the Dog Unit, searched the area but were unable to locate the man.

The man is described as being about 175-180cm tall, with a medium build and wearing a light grey hooded-jumper.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact police.
