Police appeal for information after fire - Taren Point

Police are appealing for information to assist with the investigation into a suspicious fire in Sydney's south.

About 2.15pm yesterday (Thursday 28 November 2019), emergency services were called to a business on Box Road, Taren Point, following reports of a fire.

A number of occupants were evacuated from the building and neighbouring properties.

NSW Fire and Rescue attended and extinguished the blaze. No one was injured as a result of the fire.

The damage to the building and contents is estimated to be in excess of $1,000,000.

Detectives from Sutherland Police Area Command commenced inquiries and Strike Force Purvine was established to investigate the circumstances behind the fire.
