Police appeal for information in Burleigh Waters, QLD

Gold Coast detectives are seeking public assistance to help locate a 48-year-old man after an alleged disturbance in Burleigh Waters yesterday afternoon, Queensland Police say.

Darren Windeatt (pictured) attended a unit on Bottlewood Circuit yesterday and is alleged to have threatened to harm a 43-year-old woman and a five-year-old girl known to the man.

The woman and child were not physically injured during the incident.

Police believe the man may be armed and are urging members of the public not to approach him but to instead contact police immediately.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 175cm tall with a proportionate build, brown hair, hazel eyes and a beard.
