Police investigating a traffic crash in Northgate last night are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward., Queensland Police say
Around 7.35pm a white van stopped at the lights at the intersection of Toombul and Nudgee roads when a grey hatch pulled up behind it.
The male driver of the van exited his vehicle and approached the grey hatch, reportedly punching the driver’s side window and shouting.
Initial investigations suggest the van turned right onto Nudgee Road and the grey hatch continued on Toombul Road.
Investigations suggest the van and grey hatch encountered each other in the back streets, and the van followed the grey hatch back onto Nudgee Road, again turning onto Toombul Road. The van was involved in a single vehicle traffic crash shortly afterwards.
Officers investigating the incident would like to speak to the driver of the grey hatch as they may be able to assist with investigations into the crash.
The hatch is described as a new model, possibly a Mazda hatchback.
Additionally, anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who may have dash cam footage of the area is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
Investigations are continuing.
