Police appeal for witnesses after Preston incident

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was seriously injured in Preston on Wednesday 11 December.

Police were called to High Street after a woman was allegedly knocked to the ground by a running passer-by about 10.10am.

The 90-year-old suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

She remains in a critical condition.

A 45-year-old Reservoir man was arrested nearby and has been charged with one count of negligently cause serious injury and one count of recklessly cause serious injury.

He has been bailed to appear at Heidelberg Magistrates' Court on 11 May 2020.
