Police appeal for witnesses after serious crash in Lalor

Police are investigating after a crash which left a teenager in critical condition in Lalor overnight.

Investigators have been told just prior to the incident the orange sedan was seen travelling on High Street towards Epping when it accelerated and attempted to overtake a group of cars.

The driver then lost control and crashed into the tree on Duncan Road just after midnight.

One of the occupants, a 16-year-old Doreen male, was transported to hospital with life threatening injuries.

The driver, a 19-year-old Doreen man was uninjured and is assisting police with their enquiries.

The other occupants aged 15 and 14 were assessed for injuries at the scene.
