Police appeal for witnesses following armed robbery at Bundoora

Detectives from Mill Park Serious Crime Team are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in Bundoora earlier today, Victoria Police say.

Police have been told two men with their faces covered entered the supermarket on Grimshaw Street about 9.30am.

Both men approached a staff member, one producing a butterfly knife and the other, a kitchen knife, before making demands for cash.

The men fled the store with a cash register drawer which was later recovered nearby, containing the cash.

One of the men is described as about 180cm tall, perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, wearing a black hoodie, black pants and black shoes with a white stripe.

The second man is described as about 175cm tall, also perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, wearing a black hoodie, black pants and white runners.

No one was injured as a result of the incident.
