Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man following a domestic incident in the state’s north, NSW Police say.
Just before 11am on Tuesday 8 May 2018, police were called to a service station on Union Street, South Lismore, after reports of a domestic.
A man, woman and child were seen by witnesses leaving in a blue Mazda 6.
Officers from Richmond Police District attended and commenced an investigation.
Following inquiries, a 23-year-old woman and child were located by police in Casino, just before 11pm on Wednesday (9 May 2018),
Police are now appealing for public assistance to locate a man they believe may be able to assist with the investigation.
Police want to speak with 28-year-old Leon Edward King who was last seen on Tuesday (8 May 2018), in South Lismore.
Leon is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Island appearance, approximately 185cm to 190cm tall, of a large build, with black hair, with a black beard and moustache.
He is believed to be travelling in a 2008 blue Mazda 6, NSW registration DPH-47N, similar to the car pictured.
Leon is believed to still be in the northern rivers region.
Anyone who sees Leon or believes they know his whereabouts is urged not to approach him but to contact Triple Zero (000) immediately.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
