Police appeal to find elderly man missing from Carlingford

Police are appealing for public assistance to find an elderly man missing from Sydney's north-west.

Terence "Terry" Leary, aged 87, was last seen about 8.30pm (Tuesday 19 January 2021), at his home in Carlingford.

Officers from The Hills Police Area Command were alerted and began a search of the surrounding areas, without success.

Police and Mr Leary's family hold serious concerns for his well-being as he has a serious medical condition and may appear confused or disoriented.

Mr Leary is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 160cm-170cm tall, with a medium build, 70kg-80kg, short grey hair, blue eyes and is unshaven.

When he was last seen, Mr Leary was wearing grey trackpants, a long-sleeved green flannelette shirt, and blue slip-on shoes.

Anyone who has information about Mr Leary's whereabouts, or who may have seen him since 8.30pm, is urged to call Castle Hill Police or Crime Stoppers.
