Police appeal to find man missing from Dapto

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly man missing from the Illawarra region.

Robert Sawtell, aged 75, was last seen about 4.30pm yesterday (Friday 2 July 2021), at his unit on Moran Avenue, Dapto.

Officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District were notified and commenced an investigation into his whereabouts.

Police and Robert's family have serious concerns for his welfare due to his age and a condition which requires medication.

Robert is believed to be travelling in his white Toyota Hilux bearing NSW registration BE9-6AB, which has green paint on one of the passenger side panels.

Robert is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm to 180cm tall, of medium build, with balding, grey hair and a grey beard.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue and white striped shirt, grey hoodie and brown shoes.
