Police appeal to find missing man in state's north

Police are conducting a search and appealing for public assistance to help find a man missing in the state's far north.

Brian Collins, aged 78, was last seen walking through a rural property near Lightning Ridge about 8.30am yesterday (Monday 26 October 2020).

Officers from Central North Police District commenced a search of the area with assistance from the Rural Fire Service and State Emergency Service, however, the man was not located.

The search is continuing today (Tuesday 27 October 2020).

Family and police hold concerns for Brian's welfare as he suffers from a medical condition.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, of slim build, with grey hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a t-shirt and pants.
