Police appeal to find Queensland man believed missing south-west of Tweed Heads

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Queensland, who is now believed to be on the NSW's Far North Coast.

William (Billy) Dilworth, aged 66, was last seen at his Pimpama home about 2:30pm Wednesday 5 October 2022.

When he could not be located, he was reported missing to the Queensland Police Service; however, information provided to officers attached to Tweed/Byron Police District, indicate Mr Dilworth may have been in the Byrrill Creek area, 57km south-west of Tweed Heads, in recent days.

Police and family hold serious concerns for his welfare as he lives with dementia.

Billy is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 178cm tall, of medium build, has grey hair and is unshaven. He was last seen wearing a white jumper and black pants.
