Police appeal to locate elderly man missing from Redfern

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Redfern.

John Hill, aged 81, was last seen leaving an aged care facility on Redfern Street, Redfern, just after 12pm yesterday (Friday 17 June 2022).

When he failed to return and could not be contacted, officers from South Sydney Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Concerns are held for John's welfare due to him living with a number of health conditions that require medication.

John is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of medium build, about 180cm tall, grey hair and glasses.

As depicted in the images, he was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, and brown shoes.

John is known to frequent Redfern, Mascot areas and Sydney's CBD.

Anyone with information regarding John's whereabouts is urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
