Police appeal to locate elderly man missing from Canley Vale

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly man missing from Sydney's south west.

Wen Jian He, aged 93, was last seen at an aged care facility on First Avenue, Canley Vale, about 11.45am this morning (Tuesday 5 July 2022).

Officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold serious concerns for Wen Jian's welfare due to his age and as he lives with dementia.

He is described as being of Asian appearance, about 160cm tall, of medium build, with grey receding hair.

Wen Jian was last seen wearing brown trousers, a blue flannelette shirt tied around his waist, and a brown puffer jacket. He also uses a walking frame.

Anyone who may have seen Wen Jian, or who may have information regarding his whereabouts, is urged to contact police.
