Police appeal to locate elderly woman missing from Bexley

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly woman missing from Sydney’s south.

Avril Johnson, aged 85, was last seen at a care facility on Dunmore Street North at Bexley, about 3.30pm today (Monday 20 June 2022).

She was reported missing to officers from St George Police Area Command this evening, who have commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Avril is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 150cm tall, of solid build, with grey hair.

It is believed she is using a walking frame, is wearing brown pants with a red and white stripped jumper and wears glasses.

Police and family hold concern for her welfare as she lives with Dementia.
