Police Appeal To Locate Girl Missing From Balgownie

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a girl missing from the state's Illawarra Region.

Rubie Hayton, aged 13, was last seen on Tucker Avenue, Corrimal, on Monday 12 January 2026. She was last spoken to by phone about 1pm on Tuesday 13 January 2026.

She has not been seen or heard from since and officers attached to Wollongong Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Family and police hold concerns for Rubie's welfare due to her young age.

Rubie is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 165cm tall, of thin build, with dyed brown hair and a nose piercing.

Rubie is known to frequent the Wollongong and greater Illawarra.
