Police Appeal To Locate Man Missing From Redfern 8 June

Police are appealing for assistance to locate a man missing from South Sydney.

Paitai Cecil, aged 66, was last seen on Redfern Street, about 5.30pm yesterday (Friday 6 June 2025).

When he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to South Sydney Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for this welfare as he lives with significant health issues.

Paitai is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, about 170cm tall, medium build, with long grey hair.

He was last seen wearing a red jersey, black puffer jacket and black shorts. He is usually in possession of a Ukulele.

He is known to frequent the Redfern and Waterloo areas.
