Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney's south west.
Carl Austen, aged 48, was last seen in Lakemba about 3.50pm today (Wednesday 1 October 2025).
When he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Campsie Police Area Command were notified and inquiries commenced to locate him.
Police and family hold concerns for Carl's welfare as he lives with a number of health issues.
Carl is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, of thin build, with grey hair and a beard.
He was last seen wearing a black and white long sleeve chequered shirt.
Carl is known to frequent the Lakemba, Bankstown, Kogarah and Redfern areas.
