Police Appeal To Locate Man Missing From Sutherland 23 February

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the Sutherland area.

Hafiz Muhammad Junaid Mashood, aged 26, was last seen leaving a medical facility in Sutherland, about 12.35am on Friday 13 February 2026.

When he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Sutherland Shire Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold serious concerns for his welfare as Hafiz's disappearance is out of character.

Hafiz is described as being of Indian Sub-Continental appearance, with a thin build, between 170cm - 175cm tall, with short black hair, brown eyes and unshaven.

He was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper, blue shorts, blue thongs and carrying a light tan coloured backpack.

Hafiz is known to frequent the Granville, Liverpool, Otford, Sutherland Shire and Nepean areas.

Anyone with information into his whereabouts is urged to call Sutherland Shire Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
