Police Appeal To Locate Man Missing From Bankstown 24 August

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Sydney's south west.

Thanh Nguyen, aged 45, was last seen in Bankstown, about 9pm yesterday (Sunday 23 August 2026).

When he was unable to located or contacted, officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for Thanh's welfare as he lives with a number of health issues.

Thanh is described as being of Asian appearance, about 155cm tall, of a medium build, with black hair. He also lives with Down syndrome.

He was last seen wearing a blue hat, jacket and football jersey displaying the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldog logo. He is also wearing brown pants.

Thanh is known to frequent the Bankstown and surrounding areas.
