Police appeal to locate man missing from Lismore area

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the Lismore area.

Leslie Williams, aged 60, left his home on Dawson Street, Lismore, about 7.30am Tuesday (22 November 2022), and was sighted about midday the same day at the intersection of Molesworth and Woodlark streets.

Officers from Richmond Police District were notified yesterday (Wednesday 23 November 2022), as he had not returned home. They have commenced inquiries to locate him.

Police and family hold concerns for Mr Williams' well-being as he suffers from several medical conditions, and that he had only moved into the Dawson Street home four days before he went missing.

Mr Williams is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, between 175cm tall, with a medium complexion, black hair, dark eyes, and a greying beard. Mr Williams walks with a cane.

It's not known what he was wearing at the time, and he did not take his mobile phone with him.

Mr Williams has family in Lismore, Moree, Pottsville and Murwillumbah.
