Police appeal to locate missing man - Riverina 22 November

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Queensland, who travelled to the NSW Riverina region.

William Swiggs, aged 89, was last known to be travelling from Gympie, Queensland on Monday 31 October 2022, headed for South Australia via Victoria.

Officers from Riverina Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

It's believed he stopped in the Forbes area before refuelling at a service station on Hoskins Street, Temora, about 7.30am on Wednesday 2 November 2022.

William has not contacted family since.

Police and family hold serious concerns for his welfare due to his age and the time he has been missing.

William is described as Caucasian appearance, about 180cm-185cm tall, of medium-large build, fair complexion, grey hair and wears reading glasses.

He is believed to be travelling to Victoria in a 2002 silver Hyundai Lavita with Queensland registration 610 EZ4.
