Police appeal to locate missing man - South West Rocks

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the state's Mid North Coast.

Darren Smith, aged 54, was last seen leaving a home on Ocean Street, South West Rocks, in a white Nissan Navara utility about 2.30pm yesterday (Monday 19 April 2021).

Officers from Mid North Coast Police District were notified when he failed to return and commenced extensive inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family members hold concerns for his welfare, as Darren is a paraplegic and uses a walking stick.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, between 180cm and 185cm tall, of a medium build, with brown hair, a beard and a moustache.

He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and grey shorts, driving a white 2016 Nissan Navara utility with NSW registration plates DPE 23P.

Anyone who may have seen Darren or his vehicle, or that may know of his whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately.
