Police appeal to locate missing woman at Newtown

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman missing from Sydney's inner west.

Violette Hammerich, aged 25, was last seen in Newtown about 6.30pm today (Saturday 16 September 2023).

When she could not be located or contacted, officers from Inner West Police Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation to locate her.

There are serious concerns for Violette's welfare.

Violette is described as Caucasian appearance, 170cm, medium build, short brown hair in a bun and has a tattoo of a gun on her chest.

She was last seen wearing an orange long sleeve top, black singlet, light blue denim jeans and black sandals.

Violette is known to frequent the North Sydney area.

Anyone who sees Violette is urged to contact Newtown Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
