Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman missing from Sydney's Inner West.
Melissa De Mattia, aged 71, was last seen Newtown train station around 4.30pm Monday 5 January 2026.
When she could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command were notified and inquiries commenced to locate her.
Police inquiries have revealed Melissa was seen on Langston Place, Epping, near Epping Train Station, a few hours later, about 5.40pm on Monday (5 January 2026).
Police and family hold concerns for Melissa's welfare as she lives with several health conditions.
Melissa is described as being of Middle Eastern/Mediterranean appearance, 152cm tall, of thin build, with short black curly hair.
She was last seen wearing a grey tracksuit.
Melissa is known to frequent the inner west areas of Marrickville, Leichhardt, Five Dock and Ashfield.
