Police Appeal To Locate Woman Missing From Balmain 17 May

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman missing from Sydney's inner west since last month.

Subhadra Chhetri Kandel, aged 32, was last seen at Balmain on Saturday 11 April 2026.

When she was unable to be located or contacted, officers attached to Leichhardt Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

There are concerns for her welfare as she lives with a number of health issues.

Subhadra is described as being of Indian Sub-Continental appearance, 155cm, medium build with long dark hair.

She was last seen wearing a grey zip up jumper, white shirt, grey pants, black shoes and carrying a yellow Nautica brand hand bag.

Subhadra is known to frequent the Balmain, Redfern, Newtown, West Ryde and Sydney CBD areas.

Inquiries have established that Subhadra may have been in the Balmain area last Friday (15 May 2026).

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Glebe Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
