Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing hiker Niels Becker.
The 39-year-old left Upper Jamieson Hut on 24 October intending to walk to the Macalister Springs area.
He called family from the Valejo Ganther Hut on 26 October saying his intended to head next to Mount Stirling.
It's not clear what route he was planning to take to get there.
He was due back at his vehicle on 29 October however had not done so and he was reported missing.
Niels is well equipped for the walk and familiar with the area however police and his family became concerned when he didn't arrive back on the intended date.
Police have released an image of Niels in the hope that someone may have information on his current whereabouts.
Police would like to speak to anyone who has seen Niels throughout his travels and urge them to contact Mansfield Police Station on (03) 57775 2555.
