Police appeals for help to locate man John Schmetzer

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate John Schmetzer.

The 88-year-old has been missing from his Blackburn South home since 30 August.

Police hold concerns for John's welfare due to his age and he has missed a medical appointment.

John is known to frequent the Forest Hill Chase shopping centre, Box Hill Centro shopping centre, Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish in Blackburn South.

He uses a maroon coloured walking frame with black tyres, uses public transport, and it is not known what clothing he is wearing.

An image of John has been released in the hope someone recognises him and can provide information on his whereabouts.

Anyone who sees John or has information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Forest Hill Police Station on 8847 3600.
