Police are appealing for information after a kidnapping - Central North Police District

Police are appealing for information after a man was allegedly kidnapped in the state's north-west last week.

About 9pm (Thursday 2 January 2020), a 75-year-old man was approached by three men and was detained on his property at Byrock.

The group ransacked the house and left a few hours later along with cash and keys.

The 75-year-old man was taken to Bourke Police District Hospital where he was treated for injuries.

The three men have allegedly used the keys to enter a premises at John Brass Place, Dubbo on Friday 3 January 2020.

A crime scene has been established, and an investigation is underway.
